NewslettersMaker AI: The Ultimate User Guide

A complete step-by-step playbook on how to configure your engine, import contacts, build AI-powered emails, and launch massive campaigns effortlessly.

Initializing NewslettersMaker AI...

⚙️ Step 1: Configure Your Engine (Settings)

Before you can send your first campaign, you need to tell the platform how to send your emails.

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab.
  2. Under Delivery Engine, choose your provider:
    • Postmark (Recommended): If you use Postmark, simply paste your Server API Token (found in Postmark → Server → API Tokens). Postmark guarantees the highest inbox delivery rates.
    • Traditional SMTP: If you use SendGrid, AWS SES, or any other SMTP provider, enter your Host, Port (587 recommended), Username, and Password.
  3. Set your Default Sender Email (e.g., newsletter@yourdomain.com). Make sure your domain is verified with your provider!
  4. AI Capabilities (Optional): Enter your Google Gemini API key if you want to unlock AI-powered subject line generation and content rewriting directly inside the email builder.

👥 Step 2: Manage Your Audience (Contacts & Segments)

A campaign is only as good as its audience. Head over to the Contacts tab.

Importing Contacts

  • CSV Upload: Click Import Contacts and upload a .csv file containing names and emails.
  • Manual Entry: Use the Add Contact button for quick single additions.

Smart Tagging & Segments

  • Tags: You can assign tags like VIP, Waitlist, or Customer to contacts.
  • Segments: A Segment is a dynamic group based on tags. Click Create Segment, name it (e.g., "Active Buyers"), and tell it to include contacts with specific tags. When you send a campaign, you send it to a Segment, not just a raw list.

Organic Signups

  • You have a Public Subscribe Page! Share your unique public link.
  • When someone signs up there without a specific segment, they are automatically tagged with form sign ups. Create a segment looking for that tag to see your organic audience grow.

🎨 Step 3: Design the Perfect Email (Newsletters)

Now for the fun part. Go to the Newsletters tab and click Create Newsletter.

  1. The Builder: Drag and drop text blocks, images, buttons, and spacers to craft your email.
  2. Branding: Upload a Banner (top image) and a Logo. These are automatically injected at the top of your email for a highly professional look.
  3. AI Magic ✨: If you configured your AI key in Settings, select any text block and click the AI button to rewrite it, make it punchier, or fix grammar instantly.
  4. Save & Export: You can save your design as a Template for future use, or even export it as a high-quality PDF or Image if you want to share it on social media.

🚀 Step 4: Launching Your Campaign (Campaigns)

Your audience is ready. Your email is beautiful. Let's send it. Go to the Campaigns tab.

  1. Click Create Campaign.
  2. Select Newsletter: Pick the design you just saved.
  3. Select Segment: Choose who is receiving this email (e.g., "All Subscribers" or "VIPs").
  4. Campaign Details:
    • Subject Line: Make it catchy. (Use the AI Subject Generator button if you're stuck!).
    • Preview Text: The snippet that appears in the inbox before they open the email.
    • Sender Name: e.g., "John from NewslettersMaker".

Test Before You Blast

Always click "Test Send" first! This will send a live copy of the email exclusively to your own inbox. Check how it looks on mobile and desktop, and verify all your links work.

Send It

Click Send Campaign.

  • The system will immediately move the campaign to the background.
  • You can safely close your laptop or navigate away. The server will quietly process all 10,000+ emails in the background using a highly resilient queue.

📊 Step 5: Track Your Success (Analytics)

Once your campaign is marked as SENT ✅, click on it to open the Campaign Report Drawer.

If you are using Postmark, the platform listens to live webhooks to give you real-time analytics:

  • 📬 Delivered: How many emails successfully hit an inbox.
  • 👀 Opened: How many people actually looked at your email.
  • 🖱️ Clicked: How many people clicked a link inside your email.
  • ❌ Bounced: Emails that failed (fake addresses, full inboxes).

(Note: To see Opens and Clicks, ensure you have set up the Webhook URL in your Postmark Server settings pointing to your app's domain!)

💡 Pro-Tips for Power Users

  • The Unsubscribe Link: Every email sent automatically includes a secure unsubscribe link at the bottom. If a user clicks it, they are instantly marked as Subscribed: False in your database and will automatically be skipped in all future campaigns. You don't have to lift a finger to stay compliant.
  • Templates: Instead of designing from scratch every week, build one perfect layout, save it to the Templates Dashboard, and just duplicate it for your weekly sends.
